Genomic Relativity

Genomic relativity is a developing way to describe genomes without treating any one reference assembly as the biological center. A genome is the physical nucleic acid itself, while a genome assembly is a representation reconstructed from sequencing reads. We are exploring how to describe genomic positions and variants without making them products of a single reference.
